This is the simple game Coryn played the other day to help her understand the concept of counting by tens. I wrote out the 10 place numbers up to a 100 and then had her line ten pennies up beside each of them until she had a 100 pennies.
Then I replaced the pennies with dimes and explained the idea of a penny being worth one cent and dime being ten and how many of each we needed to make a dollar. We counted to 100 by 10s a few times, referencing the numbers when needed and in the end I gave her a dollar bill as a "prize."
Another note, if you want to help your kid count to a hundred but don't want to print out a chart, I realized the other day that her "Chutes and Ladders" game has all the numbers from 1 to 100 on it.
