Random Interview Saturday! Leslie E. Heath

The H. L. Burke Random Interview is not like other interviews. The questions are all over the place. They have no purpose. Their purpose is their lack of purpose.

There are nine questions because cats, but these nine questions are subject to change without notice, so the questions one person answers may not be the questions answered by the next author.

Look in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a slightly bigger bird? No, it's author Leslie E. Heath!

Leslie E. Heath

author biography

Leslie E. Heath is a fantasy author, wife, and mother, who has a habit of taking in every stray in need of a home. As a result, her home resembles a tidy little zoo, but is full of love and laughter. When she’s not writing, Leslie can be found at the beach with her dogs, running marathons, and working as a night-shift ER nurse. As an avid reader and lifelong writer, it was only a matter of time before Leslie E Heath dipped her toes in the waters of novel-writing.

The Interview!

In your opinion, which is the best space ship?
The TARDIS, of course.

If you could combine any two animals to make a hybrid, what would they be?
Dog and Horse. That would be an amazing, majestic, and loyal animal that I’d love to know.

What film era do you feel best represents your day to day life?
Hmm... Comedy? Like the old-school Three Stooges era films. I’m terribly clumsy, so that would be the best fit.

Do you have a plan in case of a Grinch attack at any major holiday?
Always. The grinch can usually be tamed with love, liquor, and loaf cake. I keep plenty of all three handy throughout the holidays.

If you had to write only in one crayon color for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Purple. It’s happy enough to keep me smiling, but still readable on white paper.

If you had to build a house without conventional materials, what unconventional materials would you use? (Gingerbread is inadvisable because it attracts snacking children)
How lovely would it be to have a house with walls made of books you could take down and read, with walls and roof of clear glass wall to protect it from the elements and let in lots of natural light.

You're the next Disney princess. What fairy tale is your full length movie and how would you use your new ability to control woodland creatures?
I would definitely be Gretel of gingerbread fame, since I can’t resist sweets, and the woodland creatures would help me act out scenes for my next book, so I can make sure it all sounds realistic.

Sum up your life in five words and two punctuation marks.
Save all people, and animals.

If this question were any question in the world, what question would you want it to be and how would you answer it?

My ideal question (in keeping with the fun theme here) would be “What breed of dog best describes your personality?”
My answer would be Labrador retriever, because I’m energetic, playful, loyal, love the beach, and can run for hours or spend days on the couch cuddling.
