Random Interview Saturday! K.M. Robinson

The H. L. Burke Random Interview is not like other interviews. The questions are all over the place. They have no purpose. Their purpose is their lack of purpose.

There are nine questions because cats, but these nine questions are subject to change without notice, so the questions one person answers may not be the questions answered by the next author.

Today's author sneaks in wearing a mask and seeming very shifty. Uh-oh ... where did I put my supersuit? It's K. M. Robinson!

The Interview

If you were to plan a “literary crossover” where the casts/worlds of two books (or series of books) were to combine, which would you choose and how would it go down?

This is a terrifying question because my favorite books are all dystopians and most of them involve massive amounts of deadly action scenes. Let’s run with Divergent meets The Selection Series. I’ve obviously chosen to be a Dauntless gal, but suddenly I’m swept off to the palace to try to win the heart of the prince and I put my epic fighter training to good use as I dazzle the country with my wit and skills. In the end, they crown me queen, I get to wear a fabulous dress, and I’ve destroyed the controlling leaders of the factions and country and set up a more fair system of life…all while wearing a sparkly crown.

If you could bring any inanimate object to life, which would you and what would you do with your new buddy?
My tripod. I’m a professional photographer who does a lot of self portrait work for my conceptual art line and I’m a social media strategist who does educational live broadcasts just about everyday, so Tripod buddy and I would be going on grand adventures for photography/filming and Tripod would make sure to always get my best angles. I’m picturing a lot of bobbing and weaving as I walk and film, so Tripod has his work cut out for him…I may make it challenging on purpose *innocent grin*

Technology or Magic?
Technology, for sure. I’m an exceptionally techy person and I’m positive I can take over the world with it. This may or may not be the reason my book series featuring technology weren’t the first to be published…I’m saving them for after I enact my master plan ;)

Where’s my supersuit!?!?!?!?

In the back yard…in a box…buried under a rock. Good luck deciding which part of that was the lie to my two truths. I may have hid it. Let’s be real, we can’t have more than one super hero here anyway…wait, did that stealing-and-holding-it-for-ransom thing just make me the bad guy? Dang it. Foiled again.

When cats take over the world, how do you plan to win their good graces?
Taylor Swift songs, duh.

If you had to write only in one crayon color for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Purple. It’s royal color and it matches my tiara.

What weather is your writing? A dark and stormy night? A sunshiny day?
It starts out as a beautiful sunny day and then you get hit with massive storms on and off when you least expect it. Just when you think you’ve found the end of the storm, you realize it’s only the calm in the middle of the insanity. It’s usually wrapped up with a massive, life-shattering tornado that sweeps through and leaves you with a serious need for a support group. No really, my fans made a support group after one of my books. What can I say? I like to keep people on their toes.

I know exercise is good for me, but it is not entertaining. What methods do you suggest for making workouts more fun?
Pretend you’re training with Four from Divergent. That adorable grin challenging you to keep up as you run is more than enough motivation ;)

If this question were any question in the world, what question would you want it to be and how would you answer it?

Are you really as obsessed with Divergent as this interview makes you seem?

Nope, Theo James just happened to fit really well with this interview…I mean, wait, what? *cue Princess Anna from Arendale moment* At least I know Four wouldn’t stab me in the back like Hans…just the ear…and only to save me. You know, it might be time to redefine my standards of men. Lol
